Registered Nurse Infection Control Specialist

Job Summary:

Grandell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse Infection Control Specialist to join our team in Long Beach, New York, United States. As a Registered Nurse Infection Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall health and well-being of our residents by implementing and enforcing infection control measures to prevent and control the spread of infections. Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain infection control policies and procedures to prevent and control the spread of infections among residents, staff, and visitors

  • Conduct regular infection control surveillance to identify and investigate suspected outbreaks, and develop and implement strategies to prevent future outbreaks

  • Develop and provide infection control education to staff, residents, and families to promote awareness and understanding of infection control measures

  • Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, housekeeping, and dietary, to ensure a cohesive approach to infection control
