We have a new opportunity for a full-time Infection Control Preventionist and Staff Educator at our 5 star CCRC in West Caldwell! This position offers a full range of benefits and a competitive salary between $95-$110K!

General Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for the development, implementation and administration of organization-wide systems for the prevention and control of infections as well as maintaining compliance with accrediting, licensing, and governing agency expectations related to infection prevention and control program. She/he assesses the educational needs of the staff and develops and implements training programs to meet those needs.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications:
BSN with current RN license. MSN or MPH preferred.
Association for Practitioners in Infection Control (APIC) training course, Infection Preventionist training or equivalent is required.
Previous experience in teaching, curriculum development and instruction design is desired.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred.

Skill(s):
Effective communication skills, basic computer skills.

Experience:
Minimum of five years clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting.
