Job Summary and Qualifications
* This is a Full Time Day shift position. Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday *
As an Infection Prevention Coordinator, you will assist with the coordination of all aspects of the facility infection prevention and control program. You will be directly involved with activities directed toward prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections and will serve as an infection prevention and control consultant for facility staff, patients, and the community. You will interact with physicians, outside agencies, corporate/divisional staff as well as all departments within the facility.
What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional healthcare related field
  • Minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care hospital required
  • 1-2 years experience in Infection Prevention and Control, preferred
  • Certification by the National Certification Board of Infection Control and Applied Epidemiology preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal format
  • Strong computer skills
