Job description

Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Unit

This is a night shift position, with a 3x12-hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:30.

Position available within a 50-mile radius.

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse will work in the Mother Baby unit, providing care to neonates and their mothers. The role requires a thorough understanding of postpartum care, including maternal assessments, infant care, and the ability to educate parents on newborn care practices.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to mother and baby couplets.

Monitor and assess mothers and infants post-delivery.

Educate parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.

Manage infant assessments including feeding, immunizations, and metabolic screenings.

Perform necessary medical interventions as per standard protocols.

Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Mother/Baby or L&D unit.

BLS and NRP certifications are required.

Must possess a valid RN license in the state of practice; compact license accepted.
