What is an industry principal?

An Industry Principal is a senior expert who specializes in a particular industry, such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing, within a consulting or technology company. They are responsible for providing strategic guidance, thought leadership, and deep industry insights to clients and internal teams. Industry Principals often help shape solutions, drive business development, and ensure that their organization’s offerings align with industry trends and client needs. They typically have years of experience and a strong network in their field.

How does an industry principal typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive client solutions?

Industry Principals often act as strategic advisors, working closely with sales, product development, and delivery teams to design and implement tailored solutions for clients. They bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders by communicating industry trends, client requirements, and best practices.
