Job description

Industry Principal
Anchor Utility | Sales & Business Development | Remote
About Anchor Utility
Anchor Utility helps multifamily communities manage utility expenses with clarity and confidence. We're a fast-growing, remote-first team that partners closely with property owners, operators, and the technology ecosystem that supports them ďż˝ and we're looking for an Industry Principal to help us deepen those relationships and open new doors across the industry.
About the Role
As Industry Principal, you'll be Anchor's trusted advisor and thought leader in the multifamily and property management space. You'll build relationships with the companies and associations that shape our industry, develop strategies to grow revenue and pipeline, and work hand-in-hand with our Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to turn insight into new business. This is a role for someone who thrives on being in the room ďż˝ whether that's a strategic account meeting, an industry panel, or a whiteboard session on the next sales play.
What You'll Do
  • Build and nurture relationships with companies and associations across the industry
  • Develop strategies to grow revenue and expand our industry pipeline
  • Spot new business opportunities by exchanging ideas and insights with partners and peers
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to develop and close new business
  • Create programs, content, communications, and trainings that position Anchor as an industry leader
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader, both externally and internally
  • Prioritize strategic accounts and build sales plays and solution strategies
  • Identify, recruit, and enable system integrators and property management partners
What Success Looks Like
  • Regular strategic meetings with strategic account prospects
  • Consistent outreach and pipeline-building with prospective customers
  • Active support of the Sales team in customer demos
  • A steady stream of subject-matter content that fuels Marketing and Sales
  • Visible thought leadership ďż˝ leading industry discussions internally and speaking nationally
  • Ownership of key sales enablement tools, including a Sales Strategy Playbook and Sales Proposal Template
  • A presence at the trade shows and industry events that matter most to our customers
What You Bring
  • A track record of building genuine, lasting relationships within an industry ďż˝ multifamily, property management, or a closely related space strongly preferred
  • Comfort operating as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on relationship builder
  • Strong storytelling and content instincts ďż˝ you can turn industry insight into something others want to read, watch, or hear
  • Confidence leading conversations, whether that's a one-on-one with a prospect or a keynote in front of an industry audience
  • A collaborative mindset ďż˝ you'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to get things done
  • Willingness to travel for select trade shows and speaking engagements
Why Anchor
Anchor is a remote-first, growing company where your ideas and relationships have real reach. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and relationship-building, with the visibility and autonomy to shape how the industry sees us.
Ready to help us build the future of multifamily utility management? Apply today ďż˝ we'd love to hear from you.
Anchor Utility is an equal opportunity employer.
