As of Jun 25, 2026, the average hourly pay for industrial sweeper in the United States is $18.77, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.87 and $21.15 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the typical challenges faced by industrial sweepers on the job?

Industrial sweepers often encounter challenges such as operating machinery in tight or high-traffic areas, dealing with varying debris types, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime. Weather conditions and shift schedules can also impact daily responsibilities, especially for those working in outdoor or around-the-clock facilities. Staying alert to safety protocols and coordinating with other maintenance or production teams is essential for efficient and safe operations.

What jobs pay 10,000 a month without a degree?

Industrial sweepers typically do not earn $10,000 a month; high-paying jobs without a degree often include roles such as sales managers, real estate brokers, or skilled trades like electricians and plumbers, which may require experience or certifications. These positions can offer substantial income through commissions, bonuses, or overtime, but reaching $10,000 monthly usually involves experience, performance, or specialized skills.

What is an industrial sweeper?

An industrial sweeper is a specialized cleaning machine designed to efficiently clean large floor areas in warehouses, factories, parking lots, and other industrial or commercial spaces. These sweepers use powerful brushes, vacuums, and filters to collect dust, debris, and dirt from hard surfaces. Industrial sweepers can be ride-on or walk-behind models, and they help maintain cleanliness, improve safety by reducing slip hazards, and save time compared to manual cleaning methods.

What is the difference between Industrial Sweeper vs Floor Maintenance Technician?

AspectIndustrial SweeperFloor Maintenance Technician

Work EnvironmentOutdoor and large industrial or commercial spacesIndoor facilities, commercial buildings, industrial sites

The roles often overlap in safety training and certifications but differ in scope and environment.

How do you become a sweeper?

To become an industrial sweeper operator, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and training on the specific equipment. Some employers require certification or experience with maintenance and safety procedures, and on-the-job training is common for new operators.

What jobs pay $6,000 a month?

Industrial sweepers typically earn between $2,500 and $4,000 per month, so earning $6,000 monthly is uncommon for this role. Higher-paying jobs in related fields, such as industrial maintenance or supervisory positions, may reach or exceed that level with experience and certifications. Salaries vary based on location, experience, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Industrial Sweeper, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Industrial Sweeper, you need basic mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment, routine maintenance procedures, and possibly a forklift or driver's license is typically required. Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently are standout soft skills in this role. These skills ensure that facilities remain clean, safe, and compliant with operational and safety standards.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Industrial sweepers typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily earnings are more common in specialized or executive roles, high-level consulting, or certain entrepreneurial ventures. Most jobs with daily pay of this level require advanced skills, significant experience, or ownership of a business, rather than standard industrial positions.
