POSITION: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
LOCATION: Monroe, New Jersey
 WORK TYPE: On-Site
 JOB TYPE: Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting the reliability, efficiency, and safety of manufacturing operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and setup of production equipment and facility systems.
This role performs both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and ensure continuous production operations. The ideal candidate will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, install and maintain machinery, and support operational goals through effective maintenance practices.
SHIFT OPENINGS

  •  2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM 
  •  3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM 
Schedule:

  •  Monday – Friday 
  •  Overtime and weekend availability may be required based on operational needs 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and production equipment 
  •  Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility equipment 
  •  Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems and perform necessary repairs 
  •  Maintain engines, motors, conveyor systems, and production equipment 
  •  Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment safely 
  •  Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals 
  •  Install, set up, configure, and maintain injection molding machines and related equipment 
  •  Repair and maintain machinery, fixtures, and facility systems 
  •  Perform lubrication, inspections, servicing, and routine equipment maintenance 
  •  Identify equipment issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime 
  •  Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, repair documentation, and work orders 
  •  Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety procedures and company standards 
  •  Identify hazards and maintain a safe working environment 
  •  Collaborate with production, operations, engineering, and maintenance teams 
  •  Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety 
  •  Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned 
QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or similar maintenance role preferred 
  •  Experience in manufacturing, industrial, production, plastics, packaging, or processing environments preferred 
  •  Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques 
  •  Experience with pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and industrial machinery 
  •  Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues 
  •  Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings 
  •  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  •  Excellent communication skills 
  •  Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
