Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of all equipment at SupplyOne, Inc., including production machinery, warehouse systems, office areas, and the building itself. The role covers a broad range of maintenance tasks such as mechanical, electrical (up to and including three-phase), plumbing, painting, welding, and some carpentry. As a member of the SupplyOne team, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with Equipment Operators and Supervisors to coordinate and perform maintenance activities in the assigned areas.

  • Troubleshooting: Apply troubleshooting skills to a wide variety of machine applications to address production needs. Diagnose and repair control wiring, relay logic, motor drive circuits, control system devices, photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, and transducers.

  • Electrical Testing: Utilize tools such as Digital Volt Meter, Mega OHM Meter, and AMP probes to diagnose electrical issues.

  • Installation & Repair: Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, repair, and servicing of machinery and support systems.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct systematic preventive maintenance, including adjustments, inspections, and minor repairs on plant equipment as needed.

  • Prioritization: Prioritize machine breakdown repairs over other projects and tasks to minimize production downtime.

  • Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding and machine shop tasks to repair and improve equipment and machinery.

  • Maintenance Projects: Complete all assigned maintenance projects in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.

  • Shop Organization: Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area for storage of parts and equipment, ensuring all shop equipment is properly maintained.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, including OSHA regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with shift supervisors and machine operators to stay informed of daily equipment issues.

  • Design & Fabrication: Design and fabricate parts to improve equipment performance and safety.

  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional image of SupplyOne when interacting with internal and external customers and vendors.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery, electrical circuits, and mechanical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with OSHA regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain clean and safe work areas.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
