Job Title: Industrial Engineer
Department: Operations
Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Status: Regular Full Time Position - Exempt/Salary

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to improve labor productivity, process flow, standard work, and throughput across GrayWolf Modular's manufacturing operation. This role will use data and plant-floor observation to identify bottlenecks, improve layout and work methods, and strengthen the factory operating system. The Industrial Engineer will help GrayWolf scale with more discipline, better visibility, and more predictable execution.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead industrial-engineering work that improves labor productivity, flow, capacity, and factory execution discipline.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, routing logic, labor assumptions, and time studies for key manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze bottlenecks, WIP flow, layout, and work-center performance to improve output predictability.
  • Partner with planning, warehouse, engineering, production, and quality to remove systemic waste and handoff breakdowns.
  • Support factory layout, cell design, material presentation, and visual-management improvements.
  • Build dashboards and operating analysis around throughput, labor efficiency, schedule adherence, and constraint visibility.
  • Turn improvement ideas into implemented changes with follow-through on results.
  • Help GrayWolf build a scalable factory operating system instead of relying on tribal knowledge.
Qualifications: I. Work Experience

Required

  • 7+ years of industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or continuous-improvement experience in complex manufacturing, modular construction, or industrial infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on success with process mapping, labor studies, line balancing, capacity planning, standard work, layout improvement, and throughput analysis in an active factory.

Required

  • Strong ability to turn plant data into action across staffing, flow, bottlenecks, productivity, and process discipline.
  • Ability to drive measurable improvement while maintaining credibility with operations teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in modular data center manufacturing, large assemblies, electrical equipment, HVAC / cooling products, or project-based manufacturing.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous-improvement training.
III. Education

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent improvement credential is preferred.
IV. Software & Technology

Required

  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI or similar analytics tools, ERP / MRP systems, and Microsoft Office; SQL or scripting experience is a plus.

Work is performed across office and manufacturing environments with significant time spent on the plant floor observing processes and validating improvements. This role requires regular walking, direct interaction with production teams, and appropriate PPE in industrial areas.

Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request for those who have disabilities that qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

GrayWolf Modular is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
