DESCRIPTION:
As Mechanical/Industrial Manager, you will be responsible for making the business more efficient and effective by getting employees to work smarter, dividing your time between the office and manufacturing. This process includes keeping workplaces orderly, maximizing the quality in which products are built, eliminating unnecessary inventory, and simplifying. You will work to increase worker productivity and also increase worker happiness by reducing the amount of work that employees have to do. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Work with minimum supervision.
 
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Implement Lean Management.
  • Make the business more efficient and effective by getting employees to work smarter.
  • Lean managers must spend time planning ways to effectively implement principles of lean manufacturing and also must spend time brainstorming with other managers.
  • Examine every-day processes.
  • Brainstorm with Upper Management to provide employees with consultation and training, implementing certain principles.
  • Keep workplaces orderly, maximizing the quality in which products are built, eliminating unnecessary inventory, and simplifying.
  • Set up processes so to increase worker productivity and also increase worker happiness by reducing the amount of work that employees have to do.
  • Ensures the employees follow the Lean System and continues to educate employees whenever necessary.
  • Keep the workplaces clean and orderly.
  • Maximize the quality in which products are built, eliminating unnecessary inventory, and simplifying.
  • Increase worker productivity and increase worker happiness by reducing the amount of work that employees have to do.
  • Observe industrial processes and provide training.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination and Standard Work.
  • Must comply with all appropriate Quality Standards and fully support the ISO Program.
  • Comply with OSHA Requirements, Safety, Good Housekeeping and 5S Policies and Procedures.
 
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications:
  • Four-year Degree in Manufacturing related Engineering field.
  • Creative and analytical thinker.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, Standard Work Development, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, Just-in-Time, Demand Flow, Time Studies and Visual Management.
  • Proficient in communication and presentation skills when training and mentoring employees.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient making the business more efficient and effective by getting employees to work smarter.
  • Ability to work OT when required including weekends.
