Job description

Quality Control (QC) Manager in a metal manufacturing company is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, processes, and finished metal products meet required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001 compliancy)
  • Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Supervise QC inspectors and technicians
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintain calibration of measuring and testing equipment
  • Lead internal and external audits
  • Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering or at least 10 years exp.(or related field)
  • Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing processes (precision sheet metal, machining, welding, outside process etc.)
  • Experience with measurement tools (3D computer scanner, calipers, micrometers, calipers, NDT methods)
  • Familiarity with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis)
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities

Experience preferred:

  • 5–10 years in quality control or manufacturing.
  • Prior experience in metal fabrication, automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry is often preferred
