Molding Engineer with experience in injection molding process, workflows, and production equipment in medical devices or pharmaceutical industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in mold set-ups and/or changes in a timely manner according to the production.
  • Performs all prerequisites for shutdown and starting a production tool.
  • Properly document all process-related data and responsible for process troubleshooting and start-ups as required.
  • Anticipates set-ups and/or job changes and ensures all equipment, material, etc. for the next scheduled job are prepared and ready prior to starting the actual set-up change.
  • Support process improvements, cost reductions/savings, scrap reductions, etc. through the implementation of lean concepts.
  • Manipulation of machine controls to achieve desired parameters using established process control methods.
  • Sets-up conventional molds as well as more complex molds with multiple core pulls, auxiliary hydraulics, and manifolds.
  • Installation and removal of molds in molding machines, observing all safety methods related to the machines, molds, and co-workers.
  • Staging, set-up and troubleshooting of secondary equipment.
  • Initiate corrective action for jobs running out of standard cycle.
  • Perform and record mold cleaning and machinery as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in technical field or equivalent experience from an accredited university and five years of experience in injection molding process or industrial mechanic.
  • Manufacturing, workflows, and production equipment experience.
