When critical industrial equipment fails, our Field Service Technicians are the experts customers rely on to diagnose problems, restore production, and improve system reliability. From troubleshooting PLCs and variable frequency drives to repairing servo systems and industrial controls, you'll apply your electronics knowledge to solve real-world challenges and make an immediate impact
If you're the type of person who enjoys figuring out why something stopped working, takes pride in fixing it right, and wants to leave every customer better off than when you arrived, we'd like to talk with you.
What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial automation and control systems at customer facilities.
  • Diagnose electrical and electronic failures in PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, HMIs, motors, and CNC equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify not only the failure, but the underlying issue causing repeat downtime.
  • Use electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools to evaluate system performance.
  • Support equipment startups, commissioning, and system optimization projects.
  • Document findings, repairs, and recommendations in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Partner with customers' maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
  • Work closely with Galco's repair, engineering, and parts teams to provide complete solutions.

  • You identify opportunities to improve reliability and prevent future failures.
  • You represent Galco with professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer success.
Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance, field service, automation, or electronics troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with:

Why Join Galco?

  • No two days are the same.
  • Learn from experienced automation, repair, and engineering professionals.
  • Opportunity to grow into senior technical, project, or engineering-focused roles.
  • Be part of a company that has supported industrial customers for over 50 years with repair, engineering, field service, and automation solutions.
  • Make a real difference by helping customers reduce downtime and keep production moving.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are naturally curious, mechanically inclined, and energized by solving difficult technical problems. You don't just replace parts. You investigate, diagnose, and fix the root cause. You enjoy being in front of customers, working independently, and seeing the immediate results of your expertise.
