Job description

Industrial Electrical Engineer

Radwell International is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Engineer to serve as a critical technical resource supporting customers, internal engineering, and commercial teams. This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex technical issues related to industrial automation products while delivering timely, accurate solutions that minimize customer downtime.

The Industrial Electrical Engineer position plays a key role in bridging engineering expertise with customer needs. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, clear technical communication, and a proactive approach to identifying and preventing recurring technical issues. The position operates in a fast-paced, solutions-driven environment supporting a broad industrial customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues involving industrial automation products and systems
  • Provide technical guidance and problem resolution to customers and internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and operations teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Analyze product performance, failure trends, and technical data to recommend improvements
  • Support equipment troubleshooting related to PLCs, HMIs, industrial controls, and automation hardware
  • Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and best practices
  • Contribute to development and improvement of technical support processes and protocols
  • Stay current with industrial automation trends, technologies, and safety standards
  • Use technical support tools, CRM systems, and documentation platforms to track and manage cases
  • Identify preventative solutions to reduce repeat issues and improve product reliability
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or work as assigned

  • Working knowledge of PLC systems, HMI interfaces, and industrial control systems
  • Understanding of electrical and electronic components and systems
  • Familiarity with industrial automation software and basic programming concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools
  • Basic understanding of networking principles as applied to industrial systems
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and quality practices
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation Technology, or related technical field required
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical support, preferably within industrial automation or related environments
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Experience supporting customers in a technical, customer-facing role
  • Background in industrial equipment, controls, automation, repair, or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience documenting technical issues and collaborating with engineering teams

Compensation

The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $64,000–$86,000 annually. Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
