Job description

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a globally recognized systems integrator and leader in building automation solutions to identify a Project Manager. This role will lead complex building automation projects from inception through completion, ensuring project success through effective financial management, scheduling, client engagement, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Manage large-scale and multiple concurrent building automation projects from kickoff through completion.

  • Oversee project budgets, margins, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and invoicing.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Forecast resource requirements and provide updates to leadership.

  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare and manage project change orders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Negotiate project terms and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Provide guidance to engineering teams and ensure compliance with engineering standards and quality requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality management processes.

Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.

  • 3-5 years of Project Management or Technical Leadership experience.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS).

  • Knowledge of sequence of operations, P&IDs, instrumentation, and control valves.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.

  • Experience leading internal and customer-facing project meetings.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with building automation or industrial controls platforms such as Rockwell, Schneider Electric, AVEVA, or Inductive Automation.

  • Previous commissioning experience.

  • Background managing automation, controls, or mechanical system integration projects.
