Job description

Construction Laborer – Home Remodeling & Repair

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, motivated Construction Laborer to join our team serving Boone, Callaway, and Cole Counties. In this role, you will perform hands-on residential remodeling, home repairs, and general construction site tasks.

We are looking for a team player who can easily "plug in" to our work environment, follow the direction of a job foreman, work independently when needed, and take pride in delivering top-quality craftmanship for our clients. If you have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn new trade skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Operations: Assist with hands-on physical labor, site setup, teardown, material handling, and jobsite cleanup across residential remodeling projects.
  • Remodeling & Repair: Support various trades on-site including basic carpentry, drywall, framing, demolition, and general home maintenance.
  • Foreman & Independent Execution: Safely perform tasks under the direction of the job foreman and complete assigned duties independently when required.
  • Quality & Craftsmanship: Ensure all work meets quality standards, specs, and customer expectations.
  • Safety & Tools: Maintain a safe work environment by following jobsite safety protocols and properly operating basic power and hand tools.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively and professionally with co-workers, sub-contractors, and property owners.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Days: Monday through Friday (Full-Time)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: General construction, remodeling, or trade experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills are essential.
  • Core Competencies: Ability to work well in a team setting, follow directions, and self-manage individual tasks.
  • Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and equipped with a positive attitude.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel across job sites in Boone, Callaway, and Cole counties.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to safely navigate and move around active residential construction sites.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials weighing 50+ lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods (8+ hour shifts).
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions typical of outdoor/indoor construction projects.

  • Pay Range: $19.00 – $20.00 / hour
