KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent client facing service to multi-national companies in relation to their global indirect tax technology needs and requirements, including tax systems implementation, transaction analysis, business requirements analysis
  • Develop, manage and/or support external vendor relationships with key business partners
  • Lead or assist in preparing responses to client proposal requests; prepare and deliver Sales and Use Tax (SUT) and/or Value Added Tax (VAT) Technology training presentations aimed at external and internal audiences
  • Support practice marketing and business development efforts
  • Identify, document, and recommend client business requirements for implementing VAT/sales and use tax compliance processes and system improvements
  • Assist Partners in engagement administration, engagement management and client billing, and to identify and develop new and existing client relationships and internal relationships

Qualifications:
  • Minimum seven years of recent experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, and similar ERP applications, specifically with the tax, AP/PO, A/R and/or G/L module
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in implementing and supporting indirect tax calculation solutions such as ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination, Vertex, Avalara
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, M.I.S. (Management Information Systems) or a related course of study from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, MTX, CMI, PMP, MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer), TCERTIMP (Thomson Certified Implementer) or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
  • Understanding of key indirect tax processes and data drivers while possessing a broad industry background including retail, financial services, manufacturing, and telecommunications
