POSITION TITLE: Indirect Buying Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Kelvion Inc., one of the leading global and domestic manufacturers of heat exchangers is seeking to hire an experienced MRO Supervisor to join our team. The MRO Supervisor will support Kelvion’s business strategy by developing and managing a supply base that can provide Kelvion with the best value, highest quality, and lowest total cost supply chain solution to secure a sustainable competitiveness advantage and support the recognition of Kelvion as quality and technology leader.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To foster and lead as required, the initiatives related to the improvement of the cost and supply conditions (lead time, quality, on time delivery, payment terms and others) of the Materials, Components, Investments and Services used to meet the company’s yearly and long-term objectives.

PRIMARY CUSTOMER FOCUS

To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, safety and functionality, is evident in supplier material purchases, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • The primary function of this position will be MRO Sourcing/Purchasing process and to achieve targets of Cost Savings for Kelvion Inc.
  • Monthly Procurement Metrics Reporting
  • Perform supplier qualifications and evaluations in conjunction with Quality
  • Ensure invoiced costs from vendors match agreements
  • Source and obtain price quotations from suppliers.
  • Compare pricing, specifications, and delivery dates to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Accurately prepare and confirm purchase orders, forward copies to the supplier and others as required. Maintain all transaction records using MRP system.
  • Record keeping including preparation and maintenance of purchasing files, monthly and YTD reports, product information and price lists.
  • Target specific areas of opportunity for improvements in the purchasing area, and add to staff meetings as topic of discussion.
  • Maintain supplier information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • BA in Supply Chain Management or related area of study, or 5 plus years in a position with responsibility for direct material cost reduction.
  • Must successfully pass a MVR.
