Title: Ojibwe/Foreign Language Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary/Basic Function:

Lake Superior State University invites applicants for adjunct faculty positions in Ojibwe Language in the School of Arts, Letters, and Social Sciences. We seek applicants who are passionate about meeting students where they are and guiding them toward success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Native American Studies, Indigenous Languages, or closely related field.
Ability to teach undergraduate students through engaging instruction.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

ABD or Ph.D. in American Indian and Indigenous Studies with Dakota and Ojibwe language coursework;
3 or more years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level.

Physical Demands:

Ability to manage and deliver instruction for a course over a semester, including timely communication and grading.
