Description
Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2026-2027, $2,053 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Other Conditions:
- For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
- Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.
- Teach assigned courses in History.
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Prepare course syllabi and reports, including assessment of learning outcomes, related to teaching and student progress.
- Work under supervision of division chair to integrate teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
- As needed, work with multimedia presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
- Master's degree in History or related discipline for lecturers in History.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
- College teaching experience.
- Experience teaching World History survey courses for lecturers in History.
- Knowledge of Native Hawaiian and/or indigenous ways of knowing.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively in a multicultural setting, especially with people of Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Asian or multicultural backgrounds.
