We are building a kitchen team that is passionate about quality, discipline, creativity, and genuine hospitality.
Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join the culinary team at ANANTARA. This role will work closely with leadership to execute high-quality dishes, maintain consistency, support kitchen operations, and help build a strong back-of-house culture. The ideal candidate has a deep respect for Indian flavors and techniques, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, and takes pride in organization, cleanliness, teamwork, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily kitchen operations across prep, line, and service
  • Ensure consistent food quality, portioning, taste, and presentation
  • Assist with preparation and execution of South Indian and Indian fine dining dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times
  • Help train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff
  • Monitor prep levels, station readiness, and service flow
  • Work with management on menu execution, specials, and seasonal improvements
  • Support inventory control, waste reduction, and proper product handling
  • Maintain a professional, calm, and solutions-oriented attitude during service
  • Step into a leadership role when needed and help maintain kitchen discipline and standards
