Job description

We are seeking a fully licensed LCSW or LMFT to join our team as an independent contractor (1099).

This role is best suited for clinicians who:

  • Work well independently
  • Maintain consistent productivity
  • Complete documentation within required timelines

This position is not designed for associate-level clinicians or those seeking supervision hours.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consistent caseload (20+ clients/week preferred)
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within 24โ€“72 hours
  • Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal and payer documentation standards
  • Deliver evidence-based, client-centered care

Required Qualifications

  • Active California LCSW or LMFT license in good standing (required)
  • Ability to practice independently without supervision
  • Strong documentation and time management skills
  • Experience with Medi-Cal populations preferred

* Full administrative support, including billing, scheduling, insurance verification, and credentialing
* Streamlined systems to support documentation compliance and workflow efficiency
* Training and standardized documentation templates provided
We provide hands-on support throughout the credentialing process:
* Assistance with insurance paneling and Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs)
* If already paneled, our office manager will coordinate the transfer of existing panels
* The office manager completes the majority of required paperwork and follow-up
