We have an opportunity for a Structural Engineer who is looking to work in a collaborative team environment, in our Structural group in Milwaukee, WI. For the right candidate, being a member of the GRAEF Structural group will provide opportunities to:
  • Lead the structural design and analysis of building projects from concept through construction.
  • Develop structural systems and technical solutions that balance performance, constructability, schedule, and project goals.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Coordinate effectively with teams across architecture and engineering disciplines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverable coordination.
  • Prepare and oversee structural calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
  • Direct and coordinate BIM modeling and drawing production in Revit.
  • Mentor and support the development of entry-level and early-career engineers.
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management, proposal development, and project pursuits.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the structural team through leadership, collaboration, and technical excellence.

We are considering Structural Engineer candidates to join our team who possess the following basic qualifications:
  • Master's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural design of buildings. Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
  • Experience developing and coordinating construction documents in Revit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
