Job description

As a key member of the Mountain States Steel team, you will work with a team of shop production professionals. This position requires welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as building and bridge parts according to blueprints and knowledge of welding.
o Apply knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and other welding techniques.
o Prepare equipment by positioning and clamping.
o Weld parts using dual shield welding equipment. Weld using 1/16, 5/64, .045 or other diameter wire as required.
o Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting, arc gouging, and grinding.
o Position may require product repair by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts by using a cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools.

1G or 3G
1" vertical
7" long
1/4" root opening
1/16 flux core (hot) inner/dual shield
