Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Electrical Engineering Drafter in West Mifflin, PA.

Navarro Research & Engineering is an award-winning federal contractor dedicated to partnering with clients to advance clean energy and deliver effective solutions for complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental fields. Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense. 

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, which is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.

The successful candidate will: - Develop, review, and update schematics, and engineering drawings using computer-aided design software to depict equipment, and systems. - Create/revise detail and assembly drawings from conceptual layouts and sketches in accordance with established drafting standards using 2D/3D CAD software. - Perform other drafting duties such as preparing lists of material. - Must be able to work from the verbal and written directions of engineering. - May be required to research projects independently or acquire subject knowledge by consulting with product developers and applying knowledge of the latest drafting/design technology.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting - Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques - Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements - Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD - Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

Requirements

-Associates degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related electrical design field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or - Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related electrical design field.

- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer
