Location: Forest Park, GA

Job Summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an experienced Engineer II to support the design, construction, and maintenance of power systems. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to develop design solutions, prepare construction packages, perform material estimates, and support project execution while ensuring compliance with company standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and support power system engineering projects.

· Prepare engineering estimates, construction packages, specifications, and material takeoffs.

· Develop design solutions using engineering software and company standards.

· Review contractor designs and provide quality assurance support.

· Support construction and maintenance activities throughout the project lifecycle.

· Coordinate with engineering, plant operations, contractors, and vendors.

· Ensure compliance with Southern Company engineering standards and safety practices.

· Assist in project planning, scheduling, and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.

· 5–7 years of engineering experience in power generation, utilities, or industrial environments.

· Strong knowledge of engineering design principles and construction practices.

· Experience preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
