About the Role:

Essor’s rapidly growing retail business requires a part time contractor to lead the process of registering all products with retailers. We are seeking an experienced WERCSmart Internal Agent / 3rd Party Registration Agent to manage product registrations and recertifications for retail customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with WERCSmart submissions for consumable products, including cosmetics, OTC products, food/dietary supplements, and/or household cleaning products.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage new registrations, updates, and recertifications through the WERCSmart platform, including monitoring internal deadlines and registration status.
  • Prepare and submit formulated product and kit product registrations, ensuring accurate product, formulation, ingredient, and component information.
  • Request, collect, review, and submit required supporting documentation, including information obtained from third-party manufacturers, suppliers, formulators, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ensure submissions meet retailer-specific requirements, including variations in documentation, product information, and registration processes.
  • Monitor submissions and proactively manage WERCSmart errors, requests for additional information, corrections, and mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate registration records and documentation while managing multiple submissions and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party contacts to resolve missing information and registration issues.

Who You Are:

  • 1-2+ years experience with one or more of the following: cosmetics, OTC products, food/dietary supplements, and household cleaning products regulatory compliance, including INCI nomenclature and reviewing Safety Data Sheets.
  • 1+ years of hands-on WERCSmart registration experience, including supporting retailer requirements.
  • Experience with formulated and kit product submissions.
  • Experience managing recertifications and registration renewals.
  • Strong experience with documentation collection, submission, error management, and mitigation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Smarter Sourcing experience is a plus, but not required.

This is a part-time independent contractor (1099) engagement. The anticipated hourly rate range for this role is $50.00 to $75.00 per hour. Final compensation within this range is evaluated based on non-discriminatory factors, including demonstrated expertise with WERCSmart submissions, depth of regulatory compliance background, specific project scope needs, and overall candidate qualifications.
