We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a PLM Administrator to join a leading Company located in the Denver, CO surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $43.26 - 62.50

The PLM Administrator is the frontline operational resource responsible for day-to-day administration, user support, and system health maintenance of our enterprise PLM environment. This role ensures smooth daily operations for users, manages license allocation across multiple engineering toolsets, and provides first-line technical support. The ideal candidate combines hands-on Teamcenter and xCAD administration experience with strong customer service orientation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience with in-house tools is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations & User Support
- Manage daily user additions, account administration, and permission assignments in Teamcenter
- Provide first-line technical support for user issues
- Triage and escalate complex technical issues to PLM Engineering team
- Monitor and respond to support requests via ticketing system (target: < 24-hour response for priority issues)
- Conduct basic user training and onboarding for new Teamcenter users
- License Management
- Monitor and manage license allocation across 6+ engineering toolsets: Teamcenter, NX, SolidWorks, Simcenter, etc.
- Track license usage patterns, identify bottlenecks, and optimize seat allocation
- Generate usage reports and provide recommendations for license right-sizing
- Coordinate with vendors for license renewals, additions, and troubleshooting
- Implement license optimization strategies to reduce costs and prevent engineering downtime
- System Health & Maintenance
- Monitor Teamcenter environment health (Dev and Production)
- Perform routine SQL database maintenance tasks
- Track system performance metrics and identify degradation trends
- Coordinate with IT for infrastructure issues (servers, network, storage)
- Maintain system documentation and runbooks for operational procedures
- Process Improvement
- Identify recurring user issues and propose process improvements
- Document common troubleshooting procedures and FAQs
- Contribute to knowledge base and user documentation
- Participate in system upgrade planning and testing
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: Technical certifications in PLM (Siemens Teamcenter Technical Practitioner, Genesis or Inceptor training), system administration, or IT service management
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on PLM administration, preferably with Siemens Teamcenter
- Strong Teamcenter administration experience (user management, permissions, workflows)
- Experience with license server management (FlexLM, RLM, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of SQL for database queries and basic maintenance
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments
- Understanding of xCAD/PLM integration concepts
- Basic scripting capability (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace configuration and customization
- Familiarity with CAD systems (NX – must have, SolidWorks, or Creo)
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
- ITIL or similar IT service management certification
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
- Excellent customer service orientation with patience and empathy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize competing demands
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
- Team player with collaborative mindset
- Background in customer support or help desk operations
- Understanding of BOM structures and engineering change processes
