Position Overview:ย 
As a traveling OSP Inspector II, you will be responsible for overseeing fiber optic cable construction to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to engineering plans. In this role, you will collaborate closely with construction crews, project managers, and permitting agencies to support the successful buildout of fiber infrastructure across the U.S. ย 
  • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure fiber placement, construction, and engineering standards/specifications for (aerial, buried, underground) follow engineering prints and customer specifications.ย 
  • Verify cable and equipment placement, sequential numbers, handhole/pedestal installation accuracy, documenting GPS coordinates, and as-built data.ย 
  • Support schedule coordination, workflow monitoring, and cost tracking efforts.ย 
  • Resolve design and staking sheet problems that arise during construction and, when necessary, interpret company guidelines for specific applications.ย 
  • Prepare and submit daily reports and project documentation.ย 
  • Communicate with landowners, permitting agencies, and internal departments.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.ย 
  • 1-3 years of experience in OSP RUS telecom inspection, construction, and/or engineering preferred.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail.ย 
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, maps, staking sheets, and construction prints.ย 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and basic computer proficiency.ย 
  • Physically able to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain; capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing.ย 
  • Must be willing to travel 100% and work overtime as required. ย 
  • A reliable vehicle is required; we pay mileage.ย 
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status.ย
