Location: Cleveland, Buffalo, Albany/NY

We are seeking an experienced Sr DevOps Engineer with over 7 years of expertise in architecting, automating, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, VPC networking, IAM, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud-native security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and managed services.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines integrating automated testing, security scanning, monitoring, and rollback strategies.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across multi-environment deployments and multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead and support cloud migration initiatives involving compute, databases, storage, and networking components.
  • Architect and manage VPC networks, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, NAT, and traffic routing for high availability and security.
  • Implement and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE, including automation, scaling, and orchestration.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring & Logging).
  • Automate deployment and operational tasks using tools such as Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
  • Manage version control and branching strategies using GitHub and other SCM tools.
  • Create and Manage Access Control for Users and Applications
  • Support Linux/UNIX administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with development and platform teams to drive cloud adoption and DevOps best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GCP.
  • Proficient in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Chef, and other configuration management tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, high availability, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience supporting cloud migrations and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux/UNIX administration.
    Compensation, Benefits and Duration

    Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000
    Maximum Compensation: USD 141,000
    Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
