An Independent Contractor Home Inspector evaluates residential and commercial properties to identify structural, electrical, plumbing, and other potential issues. They work on a contract basis, meaning they are self-employed and not directly hired by a company. Their responsibilities include conducting inspections, writing detailed reports, and providing clients with insights about a property's condition. Many inspectors also handle their own scheduling, client communication, and business management tasks since they are self-employed. Flexibility is key, as workloads can vary week to week based on market demand and client needs. This role offers a mix of fieldwork, technical analysis, and direct customer interaction, making each day dynamic and rewarding.

These abilities are crucial for performing thorough inspections, delivering clear reports, and building client trust in a competitive, client-focused industry.

Can independent contractor home inspectors be self-employed?
