Title: ETL Tester
Location: Milford, OH – 100% Onsite
Job Type: Contract (W2 / C2C)
Duration: Long Term

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Tester with strong experience in data validation, data quality assurance, and backend testing of ETL processes and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts to ensure the integrity and quality of data migration, transformation, and loading processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough data validation, data comparisons, and ETL testing to ensure the accuracy of data transformations and mappings.
  • Review business and technical requirements and develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of ETL processes.
  • Validate data movement and transformation across multiple systems (Source to Staging, Staging to Data Warehouse).
  • Execute SQL queries for data verification and defect analysis.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
  • Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ensure test coverage and traceability of requirements to test cases.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Overall IT Experience: 8-10+ Years
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL testing and data warehouse environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data mapping documents.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and BI reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks for ETL testing.
