POSITION SUMMARYAs an Automotive Service Technician for Big O Tires, you will perform service and installation activities in an accurate and timely manner. Pay is hourly (based on experience) plus 5-10% commission on completed work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and identify problems, perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including disassembly and replacement of vehicle parts
  • Effective communication about vehicle issues
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by maintaining safety standards, maintenance and cleanliness
  • Demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned shifts and completing responsibilities in a timely manner and interact politely and effectively with customers and associates.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Mechanical experience and knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, suspension, steering, and brakes
  • Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools
  • ASE Certifications a plus
  • Must have tools
  • Valid drivers license with good driving record
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed during hours shop is open. Shop hours Monday-Friday are 7:30am-5:00pm; and Saturday are 8am-4pm.
  • Must have good customer interaction skills and be a good team player.
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
