Clinical Lab Technician/Technologist Education Incentive Program

United Health Services (UHS) is proud to offer a unique opportunity for a Degree in Clinical Lab Technician/Technologist (CLT) through our CLT Education Incentive Program. This initiative provides financial support for Clinical Lab Technology education in return for a work commitment within the UHS system upon graduation. Participants will gain early exposure to healthcare environments while pursuing their degree, positioning them for a successful transition into a Clinical Lab Tech role.

Selected participants will receive full or partial tuition support while completing their Clinical Lab Technician/Technologist degree. In return, recipients agree to fulfill specific educational, employment, and participation commitments within UHS Hospitals (Wilson Medical Center or Binghamton General Hospital).

Participant Commitments:

  • Successfully complete all CLT program requirements within the agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Accept and begin a CLT position within 60 days of graduation.
  • Commit to continuous employment at UHS for a duration based on tuition support received:
    • 2 years of tuition = 2 years of employment
    • 3 years of tuition = 3 years of employment
    • 4 years of tuition = 4 years of employment
  • While enrolled, work part-time or per diem (based on availability) within the UHS system during school enrollment.
  • Adhere to all mandatory training deadlines, including eLearning modules.
  • Comply with all UHS policies and Standards of Performance.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited Clinical Lab Technician/Technologist program.
  • Eligibility and acceptance into the UHS CLT Education Incentive Program.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
  • Willingness to work within the UHS system while attending school and post-graduation.

This program offers a supportive pathway into a rewarding nursing career with UHS, combining academic achievement with hands-on clinical experience.
