About the Job:
Rent the Runway is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to lead all Inbound functions within the Arlington Distribution Center. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, throughput, and turnaround targets are consistently met. The Senior Manager will champion continuous improvement initiatives that support both near-term operational goals and long-term company growth as Rent the Runway scales its customer base. This leader will effectively manage and develop direct reports, ensuring each department is appropriately staffed and equipped with the tools, metrics, and processes needed to achieve performance objectives.
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across Inbound department.
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop Operations Managers.
  • Own departmental financial planning and budget management to maximize efficiency and ROI.
  • Drive quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
  • Provide technical, analytical, and statistical expertise to support data-driven decisions.
  • Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures to enable scalable performance.
  • Define, track, and evaluate performance metrics and operational KPIs.
  • Lead and participate in internal continuous improvement and audit programs.
  • Partner on warehouse design, layout optimization, and new business initiatives.
  • Develop, execute, and report on short-term and long-term operational plans aligned to company growth.

About You:
  • B.S. degree in business administration, manufacturing, supply chain; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a supply chain, operations, warehousing, or project management role.
  • 5 + years supervisory/management experience
  • You have experience leading/collaborating with operations, finance, accounting, and buying and/or procurement teams in the pursuit of delivering KPIs.
  • You have experience with building, owning, and delivering on operating metrics.
  • You have a strong analytical background and the ability to apply that to readily available data. Strong Excel/Google Sheet skills are a must; other data tool skills are a bonus.
  • You have the vision to find the answers to complicated operational problems and are relentless in your desire to improve processes and try new things.
