Purpose of Your Work:

As Strategic Operations Manager working within Managed Service (one of our entities), you will be responsible for operating as a key member of Redwood’s embedded operations team within a flagship enterprise partner. You will support transportation execution, resolve operational challenges, coordinate with carriers and 3PL partners on issue resolution, and ensure the reliable flow of materials into manufacturing production operation.

This role requires a strong operator mindset, balancing urgency, ownership, and sound decision-making in a fast-paced and highly visible environment while partnering directly with customer stakeholders. The position carries a high degree of visibility and accountability, directly influencing customer success while serving as a critical leader within the Redwood operations team

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

  • Lead end-to-end transportation execution across manufacturing sites and network flows
  • Maintain real-time visibility into inbound materials, shipment status, and production priorities
  • Proactively identify risks (delays, capacity constraints, service failures) and drive swift resolution
  • Own and manage escalations, coordinating across carriers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Partner closely with material planners, warehouse teams, and customer stakeholders to align execution with production needs
  • Deliver timely updates, insights, and recommendations to ensure continuity of operations
  • Align transportation strategies with evolving operational and production requirements
  • Drive performance against KPIs across service, cost, and execution metrics
  • Foster accountability and execution discipline across all stakeholders
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes
  • Represent Redwood onsite as a trusted, responsive, and solutions-oriented partner
  • Participate in business reviews, training sessions, and onsite meetings as a key transportation leader
  • Provide after-hours support when needed to ensure uninterrupted customer operations

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Experience in high-volume, execution-driven environments
  • Strong understanding of transportation modes (LTL, TL, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with load planning, shipment tracking, and issue resolution
  • Customer-facing experience in a professional setting
  • Exposure to TMS, ERP, or similar operational systems
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for customer and team engagements
  • High integrity and professionalism

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Compensation Range:

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $75,000

This position is eligible to earn quarterly incentives based on individual and company performance.

The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
