Job description

Mane Haircare is seeking a hands-on, collaborative, and growth-oriented Vice President of Operations to lead the company's end-to-end operations organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role oversees Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Product Development Operations, Logistics, Fulfillment, and Project Management functions across the business.

The organization has established strong operational processes and infrastructure, and this role will focus on leading, optimizing, and scaling those functions to support continued growth. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations & Supply Chain Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including demand & supply  planning, procurement, sourcing, contract manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, and inventory management.
  • Drive operational excellence through process optimization, cross-functional collaboration, and strong execution.
  • Own and improve key operational KPIs including Forecast Accuracy, Fill Rate / In-Stock Rate, OTIF, Inventory Health, Margin Improvement & Cost Savings, Order Fulfillment Performance
  • Partner closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to support business goals and inventory health.
  • Maintain operational reporting and visibility into supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members across Project Management, Product Development, and Supply Chain.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented team culture.
  • Support team development, prioritization, and cross-functional communication across the organization.
Sourcing, Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, freight partners, and 3PL providers.
  • Lead vendor negotiations, cost savings initiatives, and supplier performance management programs.
  • Oversee supplier scorecards, KPIs, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and service-level expectations.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support sourcing strategy, product innovation, and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee RFPs, contract management, open order tracking, and purchasing processes.
New Product Development & Project Management
  • Oversee operational execution of all new product launches, reformulations, packaging updates, and tech transfers.
  • Manage and continue improving existing innovation stage-gate and project management workflows.
  • Ensure projects are executed on time and aligned cross-functionally across Project Management, Product Development, Brand, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Guide Product Development and Project Management direct reports to support innovation sourcing, packaging development, commercialization, and product lifecycle management.
  • Maintain visibility across launch timelines, risks, and key milestones.
Demand Planning & Inventory Management
  • Oversee forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier capacity management to support product availability and inventory efficiency.
  • Lead and optimize the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Partner with Finance to support inventory flow, cash flow planning, and open-to-buy management.
  • Drive SKU rationalization and excess & obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Support development of reporting and analytics that improve forecast visibility, inventory availability, and operational decision-making.
  • Partner closely with channel leads on baseline forecasting, promotional activity, new launches, and incremental placements across customer segments to support accurate demand planning and inventory allocation management.
  • Monitor inventory health, service levels, and supply risks to proactively identify and resolve potential inventory constraints or gaps.
Logistics & Fulfillment
  • Oversee warehousing, fulfillment, inbound logistics, and customer order management operations.
  • Manage relationships and negotiations with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and fulfillment partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery speed, shipping cost optimization, inbound operations, and fulfillment performance.
  • Ensure operational compliance with customs, regulatory, and shipping requirements.
  • Oversee internal processing and coordination of retail customer orders, including order drops, allocations, cuts, fulfillment execution, and chargeback root cause management.
  • Support onboarding of new retail and distribution partners, including customer systems setup, EDI coordination, routing compliance, and order management process implementation.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Lead evaluation and future implementation of ERP/MRP systems to support operational scale and long-term business growth.
  • Continue improving operational workflows, reporting tools, and systems integrations across platforms including EDI, Shopify, and 3PL systems.
  • Support strong data integrity, process consistency, and operational best practices across the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Operations and Supply Chain leadership experience, preferably within beauty, personal care, CPG, or related consumer industries.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth consumer brands.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, sourcing, planning, logistics, inventory management, and operational processes.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, build cross-functional relationships, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party logistics partners.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Beauty, haircare, skincare, or consumer packaged goods experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting retail, DTC, and omnichannel business models.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP evaluation or implementation is a plus.
