Position Overview

Total Warehouse Solutions (TWS LLC) is seeking an experienced and results-driven Inbound Manager to oversee warehouse receiving operations at our Monroe, NJ distribution center.

The Inbound Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of inbound freight operations, including dock management, labor supervision, workflow execution, safety compliance, and operational reporting. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage high-volume warehouse environments while maintaining exceptional service levels, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management, with proven leadership experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Direct and oversee all inbound warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, and dock management.
  • Ensure inbound trailers are properly assigned to dock doors and unloaded safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate daily inbound schedules with operations teams, supervisors, receiving clerks, and customers.
  • Manage dock utilization, yard flow, and inbound traffic to maximize efficiency.
  • Prioritize and execute high-volume and time-sensitive inbound shipments.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise warehouse associates and unloading teams.
  • Establish daily labor plans to meet operational demands.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to employees.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and operational risks.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Performance Management

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, and labor utilization.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans.
  • Manage quality control processes, including pallet conditions, freight handling, and damage prevention.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.

Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain accurate receiving documentation, manifests, and operational reports.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems, including Ragic and other WMS platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with operations leadership, customers, and cross-functional departments.
  • Provide timely updates regarding staffing, workload, and operational challenges.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Verify inbound schedules and trailer assignments.
  • Coordinate dock door assignments and yard activity.
  • Supervise receiving operations across multiple dock doors.
  • Monitor labor deployment and staffing levels.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Complete operational audits and daily reporting.
  • Coordinate activities with third-party logistics (3PL) partners and customers.
  • Manage midday and end-of-day operational updates.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Previous experience as an Inbound Manager, Warehouse Manager, Receiving Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar role.
  • Experience managing warehouse teams, labor crews, or third-party labor providers.
  • Knowledge of dock operations, freight handling, inventory control, and receiving processes.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), Ragic, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.

Skills & Competencies

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $62,000 – $68,000 annually (based on experience)
