Job description

Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have twenty-three locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special. We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Columbus, OH.

Warehouse Associates retrieve, restock, load, and unload material in the wood industry, including, but not limited to, particleboard, high-pressure laminate, wood finishes and stains, solid surfaces, and other professional woodworking supplies.

Job Responsibilities:
Proficiently pulling customer orders for next day delivery and customer pick-up.
Effectively unloading inbound freight by either hand or forklift, verifying the dropped-off material, and entering items into the system.
Restocking and verifying inventory in proper bin locations.
Maintaining a healthy warehouse environment.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Proven warehouse experience (minimum 1 year)
Prior experience and ability to operate a forklift (minimum 1 year)
Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) device and computer tools
Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
Excellent Customer Service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Great interpersonal skills - a team player
Forklift Certification
Great oral and written communication skills
Good attention to detail
Must be able to adapt to change
Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 / per hour
