Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Outpatient Primary Care
Full-Time | Sacramento Area, CA | Mission-Driven Community Health
A growing community health organization is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for an outpatient primary care role serving a diverse and medically underserved patient population.
This is a stable, team-based clinic environment with strong medical leadership, excellent benefits, and a consistent schedule.
Salary Range: Competitive pay
Schedule / Status
• Full-time (benefits eligible at 30+ hours/week)
• Outpatient clinic setting
• No hospital rounding
What You'll Do
• Provide primary care services to patients of all ages (0-99)
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Perform preventive care and wellness visits
• Order and review labs, imaging, and diagnostic testing
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Provide patient education and follow-up care
• Maintain timely documentation and manage patient messages/inbasket
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
Requirements
• Active California Nurse Practitioner license
• Board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• DEA certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Current CPR certification
• Comfortable working in a community/outpatient clinic environment
• Outpatient experience strongly preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong competency in inbox/inbasket management and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
• 1-2+ years of experience working with underserved, low-income, or homeless populations preferred
• Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish, Russian, Farsi, Pashto, etc.)
