Job description

Research Scientist, preferably with a PhD in molecular biology or lesser degree with comparable experience. Must meet legal requirement to work in the USA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with small scale development and production of quantitative polymerase chain reaction-based (qPCR) products and quality testing prior to clinical validation. Manufacturing will include preparation of synthetic mRNA fusion transcripts, primers/probes sets, and master mixes containing the reacting enzymes (e.g. reverse transcriptase, Taq polymerase), as well as buffer salts for RT-qPCR ultra-precision assays. The quality control will be conducted by RT-qPCR experiments using ultra-pure chimeric transcript RNAs. The nucleic acids will be synthesized in vitro and prepared at known copy numbers determined through nano-spectrophotometric assays.
