Calloway's Tennessee Kitchen is a family-owned, scratch kitchen, partnership with EZ Stop Convenience Stores located throughout the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Our mission is to provide quality, fast, fresh, and local products paired with convenience store items to service the community.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the management of the kitchen operations. If you enjoy leading teams, treat employees with respect, have excellent communication skills, and are self-motivated and dependable, then you would be a great fit for this role. Candidates with a passion for food and service will stand out.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Deliver on our promise of Nice People. Good Stuff.
  • Responsible for the staffing, training, coaching, and retaining of team members. Responsibilities also include prioritizing and delegating work, and effectively managing the kitchen personnel through efficient scheduling and use of labor hours
  • Ensure conditions across the kitchen meet or exceed quality standards by adhering to all policies and procedures for cleanliness, safety, food safety, service, and operational efficiency
  • Utilize reports to ensure kitchens' profitability, manage inventory, maximize sales, and control costs and waste
  • Lead kitchen efficiency and execution to ensure recipes are being followed
  • Establish build-to's and execute kitchen standard operation procedures

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience leading, developing, and selecting teams in a food service establishment. Provide overall direction and support. Deliver performance evaluations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of kitchen finances and awareness of the overall business implications
  • Ability to perform individually and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision
  • Experience in food service operations with knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work any shift based on business needs to include some nights, weekends, and holidays
