In-Home Care Aide / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - Queen Anne's County, MD (#R10287) Location: Queen Anne's County, MD Employment Type: Contract Hourly Rate: $23 per hour Position Overview: Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and dependable In-Home Care Aides to provide personal care and supportive services to elderly and disabled clients residing throughout Queen Anne's County, Maryland. The In-Home Care Aide will assist clients with activities of daily living, promote independence, maintain client safety, and improve overall quality of life while delivering high-quality care in the client's home environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, empathy, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills when working with vulnerable populations. Why Join Us? Must possess and maintain all certifications, registrations, and credentials required by the State of Maryland to perform home care services. Licensure: Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required if providing transportation services to clients. Service may include transportation to appointments. Must pass criminal background screening and any agency-required checks (ITB requires background checks for all staff). Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience providing in-home care, personal care, home health aide, caregiving, or related direct care services preferred. Experience working with elderly, disabled, or medically fragile populations preferred. Technical Skills: Ability to assist clients with personal care, activities of daily living (ADLs), meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; ability to maintain accurate records and comply with applicable state, local, and agency regulations; observation and reporting skills. Soft Skills: Compassion and empathy Client-focused service delivery Communication and interpersonal skills Time management and organization Observation and reporting skills Dependability and professionalism Ability to work independently Problem-solving and critical thinking Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks Key Responsibilities: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene, and personal care. Provide support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as appropriate. Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when needed. Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks. Provide medication reminders in accordance with care plans and applicable regulations. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients. Accompany or transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and community activities when authorized. Observe and report changes in client condition or environment to supervisors. Maintain accurate service documentation and visit records. Follow all infection control, safety, and client care procedures. Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client rights and dignity.
