Job description

Description:

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support incoming, in-process, and final inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for verifying product conformance through inspection, testing, and measurement while ensuring compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively across departments. Time is divided between the Quality office and the manufacturing floor to provide direct support to production and maintain timely inspection activities.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and pin & ring gages, to verify product conformance.
  • Perform and document incoming material, first article/first piece, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Review manufacturing documentation, including part finishing sheets, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related records, for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials or assemblies, and assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Prepare final inspection reports, certifications, and other quality documentation to complete manufacturing job orders and certify for shipment.
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support production goals
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years working within a quality department
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing methods (GD&T) is required
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 is preferred
  • Knowledge of SPC and calibration is preferred
  • Knowledge of Audits (Internal/External) is preferred
