Job Summary
Production of Poly-ISO Insulation to published specifications. Tasks include processing chemical at the foam head, operation of process control panel. Knowledge of processing specifications, operation of production equipment, calculation of output square feet, sheet length, and linear feet. Other skills include the ability to read gauges, meters and tape measures. Operation of forklifts.
Pay Range: $24.00 - $25.00
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate and maintain foam head area.
  • Check temperature and fluid level of head part cleaner
  • Prepare and changing of head parts, nozzles and injectors
  • Preparing facer tolls and doing facer splices.
  • Use of SAPI. Enter data and reading as outlined in document.
  • Inspect Calibration roller or cleanliness.
  • Inspect and maintain proper chemical laydown.
  • Communicate with other operator and supervisor on start-up and during production run.

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products.
  • Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety policies.
  • Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment safely.

Equipment Used:
  • Equipment Operated - Forklifts, control panels, process console, pour table, laminator & packaging equipment.
  • Tools Required - Various hand tools and required PPE as needed.
  • Data Used - Operators run logs, shim sheet.
  • Inter-personnel Skills - including the ability to be a team player, the ability to pass on information and training of others.

Working Conditions:
  • Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:
    • Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside temperatures.
    • Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points.
    • Noise of industrial machinery
  • Typically 40 hours per week with overtime as required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
