Job description

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BE DOINGย 

The Quality Inspector is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. Youโ€™re at the end of the of the line, making sure our products are to specifications, top-tier and ready to hit the market.ย ย ย 

Reporting to our Quality Control Manager, youโ€™ll primarily work with the production team and the yard team.ย ย ย 

A highlight of your day to day will include:ย ย 

  • Perform quality inspections throughout all phases of production, including pre-pour, post-pour, finishing, and final inspection.
  • Verify compliance with project specifications, shop drawings, ASTM/ACI standards, PCI requirements, and company Quality Control Procedures.
  • Enforce specification and quality requirements consistently, regardless of production pressures or schedules.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming work; verify corrective actions are completed and effective.
  • Conduct dimensional checks, visual inspections, and other required quality measurements.
  • Collect fresh concrete samples and prepare test cylinders in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Transport concrete test cylinders to the laboratory and ensure proper handling, identification, and curing procedures are followed.
  • Review and become familiar with project-specific drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements prior to production.
  • Accurately complete inspection reports, checklists, and quality documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and management while maintaining independence and objectivity in all quality decisions.
  • Support concrete testing activities, including sampling, curing, and coordination of compressive strength testing.
  • Follow all company safety policies and always maintain a safe work environment.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FORย 

Youโ€™re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. Youโ€™re experienced with reading blueprints. Detail Oriented are the two best words used to describe you. You donโ€™t take shortcuts. Youโ€™re safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team.ย  You have the certifications under the American Concrete Institute (ACI) or possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities to be trained and obtain the certification within 6 months.ย 

You have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in precast concrete, construction inspection, or manufacturing quality control preferred.
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician โ€“ Grade I certification required; a six (6) month grace period will be provided for newly hired employees to obtain certification.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, interpret, and apply specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize defects or deviations from requirements.
  • Proficiency with computers is required, including use of email, spreadsheets, digital inspection forms, and document management systems.
  • Demonstrated integrity and willingness to uphold quality standards without compromise.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
