Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in PCB manufacturing or electronics production environments, particularly in in process inspection or quality control roles.
• Experience working with bare printed circuit boards including flex and rigid flex circuits within electronics, aerospace, defense, or high reliability manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, defect identification, and industry quality standards including IPC guidelines and military specifications used in high reliability electronics production.
• Ability to perform inspections using microscopes, measuring tools, and visual inspection equipment to identify defects in conductive patterns, drilled holes, and PCB panel surfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, travelers, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation related to PCB fabrication and inspection processes.
• Experience using manufacturing tracking systems, MRP systems, and electronic production documentation tools to log inspections and track product flow.
Responsibilities
• Perform in process inspection of PCB panels to identify defects or deviations during various stages of the printed circuit board manufacturing process.
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of conductive traces, hole quality, panel thickness, and markings to ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing specifications.
• Review and verify production travelers, lot numbers, and panel quantities to confirm that each manufacturing step has been properly completed.
• Utilize inspection equipment and microscopes to detect defects in flex and rigid flex circuit boards before advancing products to the next manufacturing stage.
• Accurately record inspection results by stamping, dating, and updating production documentation and MRP tracking systems.
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring all inspected products meet IPC standards, aerospace quality requirements, and high reliability electronics manufacturing guidelines.
