Job description

Position Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector ensures that materials, in-process work, and finished products meet DCL America’s quality requirements, customer specifications, and ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role supports production by identifying quality issues early, documenting nonconformances, and working with operations to maintain consistent, compliant output.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and ISO 9001 procedures
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using standard measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, tape measures, levels, pi tapes, Mil thickness gauge and pressure gauges
  • Verify first article inspections (FAI) and in-process checks as required
  • Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests as required
  • Perform DFT testing of industrial coatings to ensure adherence to specified requirements
  • Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with company procedures
  • Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions accurately and timely
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) under ISO 9001 requirements
  • Verify corrective actions are implemented and effective before release of product
  • Maintain quality records in compliance with document control and record retention requirements
  • Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and quality reviews as needed
  • Communicate quality issues clearly and professionally with supervisors, operators, and quality leadership
  • Follow all safety rules, quality procedures, and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and quality objectives


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum [1–3] years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
  • Working knowledge of basic quality inspection tools and measurement equipment
  • Basic computer skills for inspection documentation and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership for quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an ISO 9001–certified manufacturing environment
  • Background in metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial manufacturing
  • Familiarity with first article inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection processes
  • Experience supporting customer audits or quality reviews


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk on a production floor for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, and visually inspect parts and assemblies
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
