Job description

Shift: Day Shift. 6:00am to 6:00pm
Pay Rate: Dependent on Experience
Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will perform general duties related the to manufacturer and testing of material produced during the assigned shift. The duties will be performed in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Sprinturf standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
  • Determining the cause of product defects
  • Recommend adjustments to the production process
  • Inspect, test, and measure materials
  • Use equipment to measure materials
  • Document and organizing data of products
  • Review settings and processes of machinery

Qualifications:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Astute attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic math skills
  • Willing and caring attitude of company standards and policies
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as scales and gauges
  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time

Working conditions:
  • The physical requirements for these positions will include standing or walking constantly during the shift. Will need to be able to lift 10-15 lbs. packages frequently during the shift. The environment is not air conditioned. The temperature inside the plant will be hot during the warm months and cooler during the colder months.
