POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for conducting inspections and testing to guarantee that products meet the quality requirements established by the company. Also, ensure compliance with quality processes by quality and production personnel.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Use a variety of conventional tools to perform the position and instruments to verify dimensions to drawing specifications.
  • Conduct in process and end of process inspections in different deparments to verify if product meets the quality criteria.
  • Identify defects in surface, dimensional, visual and nonconformities (material, documentation and workmanship) to quality standards.
  • Inform the production and quality team if any operation, product or material does not meet quality standards.
  • Help to identify the root cause of any quality issue so they can be addressed efficiently and effectively.
  • Record the findings using the tools and documentation assigned by the company.  
  • Monitor and validate that rejected product have been repaired.
  • Perform audits using the AQL sampling method.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify if processes are being followed.
  • Attend production meetings, communicate quality issues and quality indicators.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture.
  • Attend and participate in internal and external training and educational courses required by the company.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized workspace in line with 5s standards.
  • Always follow health and safety requirements and bring to light safety concerns as soon as they arise.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with established processes if needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimal computer skills required.
  • Must be neat and detail oriented.
  • Must be willing to work overtime hours.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous quality experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality control plans is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Knowledge of the use of handheld measuring instruments a plus.
  • Knowledge of reading blueprints a plus.
  • Knowledge of welding operations a plus.
